AMORPHOUS
METALLIC ALLOYS |
|
|
Amorphous Metallic Alloys are produced through the technology of Rapid Solidification of molten metal at cooling rates of about a million ¡æ/sec. During this step, the metal is rapidly quenched as a ribbon. In general, ribbons are about 25¦Ìm thick. The main constituents for electromagnetic applications are IRON(Fe)-based and COBALT(Co)-based amorphous alloys.
Amorphous Magnetic Parts have following features: 1.Miniaturization of electronic equipment 2.Excellent high frequency characteristics 3.High power supply efficiency 4.Spark current reduction and noise suppression 5.Energy saving 6.Magnetostriction can be controlled by wide range 7.High resistivity and low temperature changing rate 8.Low thermal expansion coefficient 9.Good mechanical strength 10.Corrosion resistant 11.Radiation resistant
Application Fields: 1.Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) 2.DC to DC Converter, AC to DC Converter 3.UPS 4.Noise Suppression 5.High Frequency Transformer 6.ISDN Pulse Transformer
